Greetings everyone.

Senator Schumer is looking forward to his conversation with us tomorrow, Wednesday, January 13 from 3 to 4. I finalized the call details with his office this afternoon.

We have, as of now, 92 registrants from every part of the state and a few from other parts of the country. If you know of people who would like to join, please share the link but drop me a note at Pcook@nyscoc.org to let me know who else will be joining us along with their email.

The agenda will be as follows:

1. Introduction. Peter Cook, Executive Director, New York State Council of Churches

2. Process for fielding questions Julietta Lopez, Director of External of Community Affairs

3. Majority Leader Elect, Senator Chuck Schumer

4. Written questions. Peter will ask the first question. For those who submitted written questions in advance (see attached), you will be requested to ask your question directly of the Senator.

5. Open question and answer. Please write questions in chat and or raise your hand and Julietta will call on you. We will do our best to pose as many questions as possible. Please be brief so we can ask as many questions as possible.

6. Close

While the conversation will surely focus on the turmoil in Washington this week and the stimulus package and its impact on faith communities, any topic or question is most welcome.
